Meet the Team

Gary Packer is the founder and a current Director of GPA Accounting and has been a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years. Gary has also recently successfully completed a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship with Adelaide University. His area of specialty is small business services with a keen interest in helping new business owners realise their full potential. Specifically Gary is able to help entrepreneurs commercialize inventions or ideas and can act as a mentor or advisor where required. The tools and skills gained through his recent studies give him a unique position in the accounting profession and in the Riverland small business community to achieve those goals. Gary has an intimate understanding of the issues affecting business people who find themselves in the mature stage of business life and is able to help with business exit planning and general small business management advice. Gary is also accredited to conduct DiSC behavioural assessment and training days, a unique service to the Riverland that can help you to get & keep the right mix of people in your business.
Steven Inglis is the newest director of GPA Accounting.  Steven had 4 years experience at another Riverland accounting firm before enthusiastically joining GPA in 1996.  Steven is a well qualified CPA whose speciality areas are Capital Gains Tax, Tax Minimization and Tax Planning as well as general small business advice. Steven has a special interest in dry land farming having spent his childhood years on a farm. His family still retains their interest in that property, giving Steven hands-on contact with farming issues. He is a family man with strong family values and he relates well to people with challenges in the early to middle stage of their business lives.
Sue Packer is a Chartered Accountant (over 25 years qualified) managing our Renmark Office.  Sue has a broad range of taxation and small business skills from her many years of serving rural and other small business clients in Adelaide and the Riverland. She is skilled in MYOB advice and higher level tax advice as well as general small business administration issues and superannuation administration.
Hayden Cawse is a fully qualified CPA with broad experience in advising small business clients in tax, cash flow and business profitability management. Hayden joined GPA in 2005 after working for rural and city based clients in Adelaide and other Riverland practices. Hayden brings new energy to GPA. Other than his accounting interests. Hayden is also a "part time" blockie, is from a rural family and clearly understands all the issues currently faced by people on the land. Hayden has much to offer a broad range of business and rural clients.
Natasha Drake has an accounting degree from Uni SA and is currently completing studies to achieve CPA status.  Natasha joined GPA in 1998 as an administration support assistant and took up accounting studies to improve her future prospects.  Natasha has a strong understanding of computer accounting and software needs and is one of our new stars. She has an intimate understanding of the issues that drive younger business people and can assist in decision-making at that level.
Collis Marrett is an experienced bookkeeper with considerable experience with the Australian Taxation Office. Collis joined us in 2004 and brings valuable tax and bookkeeping experience to GPA as well as a sense of humour unequalled in the accounting world. Collis is your man if you need assistance with Quickbooks, payroll or Business Activity Statements.
Allison Cenko is a competent bookkeeper and with many years banking experience, offers GPA a different perspective. Allison is our main support to Sue & Gary in Renmark, having joined GPA in 2003. She is constantly improving her bookkeeping skills and is a valuable member of the GPA team.
Joanne Hayes is our most experienced support person.  Joanne joined GPA in 1993 and has helped develop most of our client service systems. Jo is an "ideas" person who is our shining light in the client reception area and provides valuable support to accounting staff. She also loves chocolate.

Amy Maddocks is our newest recruit, having joined GPA in 2007.  Amy completed year 12 in 2006 and was in the top four students in the Riverland. She is undertaking university study as our first cadet under the new GPA cadetship scheme. Amy brings a youthful enthusiasm to GPA, has a bubbly, helpful nature and fits well into our "can-do" attitude at GPA. Amy's results in year one of her degree speak volumes for her commitment. Whilst working almost full time at GPA, Amy passed all subjects undertaken, mostly with credits or distinctions. She is a motivated young woman with a keenness for new challenges and has very high standards in all she undertakes.
